Some things are worth more than gold.

Sui’an carries a piece of amber and a promise to her lost home. Gengchen pays for his powers in gold—and suffers a curse with every use. An unlikely encounter puts them on the same road. Amid steam, old debts and uncertain loyalties, learning to trust each other may be their hardest journey.
